English Wine Week: our sommelier’s top 5 picks
We source our English wines from two very successful vineyards: Camel Valley, set in a beautiful corner of Cornwall, and The Bolney Estate in Sussex, a haven for wildlife.
Both vineyards produce award-winning wines, from which our master sommelier has carefully selected their best five to be enjoyed either on their own or as an accompaniment to our exquisite menu.
Bolney Estate Pinot Gris
This has a lovely creamy freshness about it with a fragrant aroma of rose, jasmine and conference pears, which follows through onto the palette with a wonderful richness and slightly honeyed character. This can be paired with our deliciously refreshing gazpacho and heavenly wholegrain mustard ice cream.
Bolney Estate Pinot Noir
This triple award-winning red is medium bodied, full of red cherry with hints of cedarwood. Fabulous paired with our braised beef tartare and ebéne caviar.
Camel Valley Rosé
Our wine from the Camel Valley is a rosé with floral and strawberry aromas. A perfect accompaniment for our roast duck dish with pistachio and cherries.
Bolney Estate Blanc de Blancs
A stylish 100% chardonnay, Blanc de Blancs, is smooth and full bodied with fresh citrus undertones, delicious as an aperitif.
Bolney Estate Sparkling Rosé
This elegant rosé is simply Summer in a bottle with fragrances of gardenia, raspberry and lychee. Bottoms up!
